Wasted By Choices
Wasted by choices defines indecisiveness of people on account of the number of options they have to choose from. All seems equally plausible to them and in the process, they end up choosing none. It happens once an idea is floated for the proposal among a group of people. But because of the number of people and options exercised by them maybe it becomes tough for organizers to decide on one option. Thus, resulting in the delay of the decision.
The solution perhaps could be to give people ‘binary’ choices i.e. zero or one, yes or no. The critical choices must be made by the administration when it is hard to reach a consensus using the democratic means. The luxury of democratic choices should not result in inefficiency of administration. Giving binary choice will also make peoples life easier by thus saving them from being wasted on account of the sheer number of choices they have.
